“Great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2011

Stayed here 2 nights. Decent size room and bathroom, both very clean!
Restaurant and pub on location. Served a wonderful breakfast!! Very friendly staff!!
Stayed during slow season, got a great rate!
Right in the middle of town...which was wonderful! Street parking available throughout the area.
The only downside of this location was the noise from the TV's and pub crowds until closing time (about midnight).

“Excellent location, wonderful town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2010

We stayed here for one night and enjoyed our stay. Our family room included a double bed, a twin bed and a baby cot. This family room had the largest bathroom of all of the places we stayed in Europe - there was even a full-size bathtub which we've come to realize is practically unheard of in Europe!

Check-in was fast, simple and everyone was friendly.

“Pretty Good.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2009

located in a quaint little seaside village in south ireland, jim edwards restaurant/b&b is positioned around a small town square area. of all the places i stayed during my trip this place cost a little more money (we were all traveling as cheap as possible)...the room was clean and average but had large bathroom. be warned that on nights where the nightclub/pub across the square is happening, the music bumps all night and the people chat loudly outside your window 'til the break of dawn.

the restaurant was awesome and apparantly very popular with the locals...i had the best fish 'n chips i've ever eaten at Jim Edwards.

“Very disappointed”

Recently my sister and I took my mum to Kinsale for her birthday. I had eaten in Jim Edwards many times before over ten years ago so was really looking forward to going back there again. They scrimped on our main dishes and gave us one small dish of veg and one little bowl of chips between us all. They charged for 3 main dishes but were mean with the food. We never went back for the rest of that week and ate in much nicer restaurants in Kinsale. They have forever lost my custom and they should think twice about ripping their own off. I would highly recommend the Blue Haven bar restaurant instead.

“Comfortable, low key, good food,”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2007

Restaurant/ B&B. The restaurant is very good - specialty is seafood. Rustic atmosphere, but nothing fancy. Rooms are small, clean and great to just hang your hat while you explore the town. Breakfast is very good too and included in the price.

  • Liked — Restaurant
  • Disliked — The lock to the door - hard to open door to room
