My wife and I stayed in the white house for a night recently and we were pleasantly surprised! Before we arrived we were a little wary as there had been one or two bad reviews on this site but I'm glad to say we quickly discovered they were completely unfounded. The welcome we received was warm and our room was spotlessly clean. The hotel is slap bang in the middle of town so perfect for walking around the town. We had dinner in the hotel Bistro and not only was the food fantastic but it was great value too. Breakfast in the morning was made to order and perfect for clearing a fuzzy Guinness head! I would have no hesitation to recommend the white house and we will definitely be coming back - hopefully for a long weekend next time

Just back from a 3 night break over the new yeart period and have to say the White House is brilliant, it is excellent value for money and the rooms are to a high standard. My husband and i were in room 7 and it had a huge bed with loads of wardrobe space, not so many hangers but loads of wardrobe space. it was a little noisy at times as we were facing the main high street but to be honest the view was lovely and the noise was just people enjoying themselves. The hotel team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is a small menu but do you know what it covered everything you could want. One thing i will say for the Irish hospitality is 1 excellent and 2 by jove they know how to feed you. the room was cleaned and bed was made every day so every time i returned it was like arriving for the first time. We ate in the white house and it was good but not fantastic, in my opinion for a good feed you want to be going to Jim Edwards good "honest" food. Also if you want a friendly welcome a good game of darts ands the best toastie in town you want to head to the Spaniard up the hill. All in all a great trip and would recommend a stay with the white house. P.s the singer on New years eve got the party going and was excellent, apologies cant remember her name.

I stayed here during the summer on a Friday night. Myself and the OH had ended up having a drink in the bar a few different times last summer when we visiting Kinsale, so we decided to stay over at the cliff House.

The rooms are spotless and have a contemporary design. The location is perfect for pottering around Kinsale. I don't know if you would get a nicer room in Kinsale. I would recommend anyone coming for a romantic break, trip with friends, sight seeing to stay here.

If you do stay here make sure you go to the bar, they are very welcoming and anytime we have been there they have had trad music on. The last time we were there they had a trad band called puc ar buile, they were fantastic I wanted them to play all night.

Will defintely be returning in the summer................

p.s We had a room facing the street, there was a small bit of noise the next morning but it did not keep us awake

Loved this place. Attractive modern-sylish furnishings - good bed. Plenty of in room tea/coffee and bath toiletries. The heated towel rack made a small laundry wash easy. In the center of town - easy to see it all. Dinner in the restaurant is excellent and the portions generous, and of course, all the fresh fish delightful. The breakfast buffet will fill you with cereal, yoghurt, juice, muffins, and fresh fruit plus a made-to-order breakfast.

Above and beyond in service - even willing to mail postcards (though they would have to walk down to the PO - we did when we found out how close it was). Made substitutions for breakfast for egg allergic me. No gluten free options but will toast your brought-with-you bread.
