“Springfield House is even better than a hotel”

I booked 2 nights at Springfield House BB, Clonakilty. When we arrived at Springfield House, Maureen greeted us, showed us our large room which had a fabulous view of the Atlantic and also gave us a well earned cup of tea with homemade scones. Springfield has such a warm homely feeling to it. While talking with Maureen, her grandchildren Lorraine and Siobhan came in. Such sweet and polite children. As we were attending a wedding in Dunmore Hotel (a great venue with fab food) we ate out both evenings. Maureen's Breakfast is one of the best in Ireland. Plenty of food, a hot full irish with Clonakilty Black pudding (the real thing) and her own homemade brown bread. With the drink driving being enforced, Maureen even dropped us to the hotel so we did not have to worry about our car. What better service could you get! Our thanks to John and Maureen and we look forward to visiting you again. Mike & Val
