“Stunning views, a warm welcome and good food!”

We were wowed from the moment we arrived, just off the beach, the hotel delivers some stunning views. The staff were all extremely welcoming and though the hotel is big, it's quirky layout gives it a very homely feel, only added to by the very tasty food. We stayed three nights for my sister's wedding and I'm looking forward to visiting again on holiday!

“You won't want to leave”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

One of the first weddings I attended was In Dunmore House more than 10 years ago. It was special then but having married there on the June weekend this year, I can only describe it as magical. It probably has the best location in Cork and I will never forget all my friends and family gathered on the new cliff bar on a glorious sunny day with panoramic seaviews and blue skies. The location, although fabulous, is not the reason you should visit this hotel for your special occassion or holiday. Anne Marie, Margaret, Carol and the staff could not do enough to make sure our every need was met, and in the lead up to, during and after the wedding, they felt like family friends making sure that your day was perfect. Dunmore accomodated every request for our day from room reservations, to food , to timing of the meal and inclusion of our nieces and nephews at the reception without fuss or complaint. The function room, guest rooms, food and service was outstanding and the hospitality and friendliness shown to us and our guests far exceeded our expectations. We stayed an extra few days, I hated to leave and can't wait to go back.

“Absolutely wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

Attended a family wedding here in June. The staff were incredible and couldn't do enough, they were so kind and so helpful, they made everything so much easier and less stressful.

The rooms were clean and charming, the views were stunning, and the food was delicious.

The location was just lovely, with beautiful views, a sweet town amazing beaches. You definitely need a car if you're going to stay here, not having a vehicle would make getting in and out of town/beach difficult, but it's definitely worth the brief drive.

The hotel has provided the perfect backdrop for the perfect wedding and thanks to the organisation and kindness of the staff we have some very treasured memories.

This was the second family function we attended at this wonderful hotel.

The owners and staff manage to keep a friendly, personal feel whilst offering a truly professional service.

My sister organised a large, family function to celebrate our parents' wedding anniversary. Where do I start to describe this gem of a place? The location is idyllic, the owners are hands-on and friendly. The staff are efficient and attentive (you won't leave the table hungry!) The meal was absolutely first class.

I shared a family bedroom, which, as far as I remember, was warm, quiet and confortable ( wasn't there for long...) Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Nestled in beautiful West Cork a few miles from unspoilt, lively Clonakilty, Dunmore House offers loads of car parking; a view to die for; several deserted beaches locally - I really can't recommend this place highly enough.

“Joint 80th Birthday/50th Wedding Anniversary”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

We celebrated a joint 80th Birthday and 50th Wedding Anniversary at Dunmore House on 5th June 2011. The staff were marvelous and kept all glasses topped up all evening. Each table was served at the same time. I would highly recommend this hotel for functions. I stayed here for several days in September 1997 and had forgotten just how spectacular the view is.
