This was our second trip to Galley Head Lightkeeper's House and it was every bit as good the second time around. Lovely views, walks, wildlife, lobstermen, seals and an abundance of birds. A "self-catering" rental means you can afford to stay home for dinner whenever you please. 20 minutes from Clonakilty and shops, Roscarberry andf O'Callaghan and Walsh seafood restaurant (gets a 10 for 10 from locals), pitch and putt. Clonakilty has the Dunmore Hotel Golf course and a few miles out of town heading toward Cork is the world-class Lissalen Golf Club. Loads of small towns to visit, such as Glandore and Schull (Sunday open air market). The Irish Landmark Trust staff are the best. Extremely helpful at all times, but especially when one of our group became ill. Irish health care can teach the American system a few things
