A group of 10 of us stayed in the hotel recently and have to stay that none of us could fault it. The rooms were very modern and spacious, beds extremely comfortable and fantastic view over the sea. Bathroom was very spacious and lovely powerful shower great to wake you up after the night before. Only thing we could comment negatively on, is the heat in the room the following morning, extremely warm. Breakfast was great, very generous servings and local social life in Malahide was great.

Booked winter one night golf special and it proved be excellent. Paid extra 10 euro for deluxe golf view. The room was suberb, all mod cons and top class big shower. Check in staff friendly and efficient; good service and food in bar; breakfast great with cold food buffet and hot food to order. Golf course in good condition. Based our experience would recommend.

Stayed in a Family room with an interconnecting double room which was perfect for our needs. We had an excellent view of the sea and wonderful sunrise and sunsets over Ireland's Eye. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We found the food and service excellent.

Our only criticism was that there was no safe in either room. In today's climate I think this is an essential for all hotel rooms. We were also disappointed that there was no porter on arrival to help us with our bags.

I stayed last weekend at the Portmarnock Hotel, a surprise booking from my partner. Very impressed by the lovely refurbished rooms and the great view from the room. A terrific setting right on the beach which stretches for miles.

We dined in the Osbourne Restaurant on the Friday evening and I have to say the service was pretty shabby right from the manager down to the young staff. The food was actually very nice, just the service which let it down. Even when we got our bill, the bottle of wine which we had was missing from it. I was honest and told the manager but she didnt even seem to appreciate my honesty.

We left there and had a nightcap in the Jameson Bar which was very nice. The staff there were totally different and all very attentive. The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant which was very good. On the Saturday evening, we had a lovely meal in the Jameson Bar and ended the evening listening to the live music. Great atmosphere and could not fault the service.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, lovely rooms, great view, just a shame the service in the restaurant let it down on our first evening.
