This is our last day of a 3 night stay here at Portmarnock and I wish we could have stayed longer. Its a much better alternative than staying in Dublin. There is a bus stop just outside the grounds which travels straight to the city center and only takes about 40 minutes. Its an interesting trip and it travels along the sea and through neighbourhoods. Its a slice of life you just don't experience by staying in the downtown area. Buses run every half hour and I believe the fare is 2.6 euros. We had a bus pass. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very modern. And I wish my bathroom was as nice as the one here. Breakfast was an excellent value and offered several choices. They also have an excellent golf course here. It reminds me of Arcadia Bluffs in northern Michigan. Stay here instead of downtown Dublin.
