I spent a weekend in fishery cottages and found the owner very intrusive, he never left us alone the whole weekend. He even went in snooping round the house when we where away. He made our stay very uncomfortable and tried to charge us extra for using heating electric etc. which i thought was very unfair. If you are a family with young children i would suggest you find somewhere else. when we arrived he started to tell us for us to watch the children that they dont spill anything on the sofas and not to flush baby wipes down the toilet. He was a pain in the neck and felt like we where a bunch of teenagers being watched the whole weekend! Would not recommend this!!!!

Just spent a fabulous 5 days in Fishery Cottages, on the outskirts of Bundoran.

I was there with my wife and two young children, and we all had a real action-packed break.
We were not expecting such mild, summer-like weather in April but we were lucky.
The surrounding views of mountains, rivers and sea made the view in every direction spectacular...
We walked, ran, surfed, swam (with wet-suits) and fished; leaving everyone content and exhausted.

Accomodation was very bight, clean and comfortable and we were given a friendly welcome by the owners who helped us out finding some of the activities we were after.
Ate in the Bridge bar one evening and can highly recommend the fish and chips (which barely fitted on the plate) washed down with a pint of guiness!

Will be back again later in the year...

i stayed here with my young family for one week, its a really nice area with beautiful scenery and plenty to do especially if your interested in fishing horseriding golf or watersports like surfing.

i would however advise visitors against staying in fisherry cottages. its a family run business and i found the proprietors to be very unhelpful and intrusive doring our stay,

firstly the management have a list of unreasonable 'house rules' a mile long which include having the tv turned up! Management called constantly to the cottage throughout the week checking that no more than the specified no of people were staying and we personally found it hard to maintain any level of privacy.

being a young family of course we didnt cause any problems and left the cottage spotless, however the management's distrust and constant scrutiny and intrusion really impaired our enjoyment of our holiday. we also found it quite expensive and found that we could have stayed in a comfortable local hotel in the area for less money.

dont let this put you off visiting the area though and fortunately there appears to be numerous other accomodation options in the area.

The Cottages are clean,bright, beautifully furnished, and the view of the waters are amazing!

You can go surfing, Salmon fishing, (during season),or you can go into "town" which is like a quaint little beach town with casinos, arcades, pubs, grocery,and surf shops.

We were four people, and we have plenty of room for everyone in our duplex cottage.

I highly recommend Fishery Cottages.
We will go back again as soon as we can.
