“A tour with Dudley is like no other.”

Our family of 3 arrived at the House of Four Angels in July of 2006. For our 8-day stay in Ireland, meeting Dudley Morgan and his daughter was the highlight of our trip. We were so lucky to have had this place as our first stop in Ireland. There's nothing better than having a guided tour from a retired English professor from New York, giving a tour of the Dingle Peninsula (that he now calls home) like the back of his hand. His knowledge of Ireland and his enthusiasm for sharing it was just a highlight of our trip. Dudley really enjoyed giving us the tour, as if hosting someone in his family. He even did the driving, which spared me a couple of days of driving on the wrong side and shifting with left hand on the half-width Irish roads. Sorry for posting after 5 years, but the memory is like yesterday. The House of Four Angles will be our first stop in Ireland again next time.

“A welcome like no other”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2009

Very belated praise and thanks to Dudley Morgan for his most warm welcome during my 2-night stay at the House of Four Angels in September 2008. The precise driving directions Dudley provided were just what this finicky traveller needed - no risk of missing the place! While the old road up from the main road is a bit rough, and the driveway to the house VERY steep, the view when you get out of the car makes it worth it!

The kettle was on, as promised, and I was greeted not only by Dudley but also by Hunter, Ridder, Zoe and Hamish. Having been away from home for over a week and feeling rather deprived of feline company, the cats more than made up for it with their inquisitive affection.

Dudley's typed directions for a driving tour of the Dingle Peninsula provided the opportunity to visit some truly 'off the beaten track' gems. My first stop was Minard Castle - a solitary ruin standing majectically by the sea. And not another tourist - and no tour buses - in sight. As I approached the castle my reaction was "WOW". And the sight-seeing suggestions on the rest of the itinerary were just as impressive.

Dudley's breakfast was excellent - another vote for the French toast - and his conversation and recommendations for things to do or places to eat were spot on.

I cannot praise the place highly enough, and only hope that I wll get back to Ireland soon and visit Inch again.

“House of Four Angels is Divine!!!”

This is a (apologies) late review of our most wonderful stay at the House of Four Angels last summer (July '08) with Dudley (and his charming daughter). The home he has made leaves a lasting impression on those lucky enough to stay with Dudley. From the minute you walk into the warm and lovely kitchen, you know you've arrived somewhere special. The decor is a reflection of the varied interests that Dudley has and the signs of his love for life and his family are everywhere. The home can only be outdone perhaps by the views of the wild and wonderful vista stretching out in front of its many windows. We stayed with our two teenagers and Dudley guided us on a great tour back through time which we will never forget. He also helped us get ourselves to Portmagee for an unforgettable trip to Skellig Michael and even helped us get out surfing. Even the pets were charming and most of the pictures on my desk right now are of our kids on Dudley's property with his dog and kitty. Thanks Dudley for the memories and God Bless - The Fitzpatricks

“Great B&B”

A home away from home. Dudley made us feel most welcome (although we frightened him a little when we arrived with an extra that we were to drop off further along the peninsula road!).

Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was divine. Views over the sea - along with the gardens and the general feel of the place was just lovely. Highly recommended.

“Absolutely beautiful location”

We stayed with Dudley Morgan at his beautiful House of Four Angels B&B on Sept 29-Sept 30. It is a spotlessly clean, gorgeous B&B with a view that cannot be described. High on a hill, the B&B overlooks Inch Beach & the bay--spectacular scenery. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the french toast (thanks, Dudley). This was our favorite B&B during our stay in Ireland. From the beginning, we were warmly welcomed and given traveling advice ranging from places to see, shops to visit, restaurants to try and a garage to repair the flat tire we experienced on the narrow, rocky roads!

  • Liked — Location, friendliness of the host, cleanliness, breakfasts
  • Disliked — Somewhat difficult to find, very steep hill to reach the B&B
