My wife and I spent three lovely nights at the Killfountain Farmhouse just outside of Dingle. We arrived later then we were expected, but that wasn't a problem for the Lynch family. Our room was very nice, bright and very modern. The farm is only a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to the centre of Dingle. Careful walking, as the roads are quite narrow and have hedge rows in places.
You can get a full Irish breakfast if you like, but my wife and I are lighter eaters than that. There was always fruit, cheese, cereals, coffee, tea, etc.
We found out on our last day that Mrs. Lynch had passed away last Easter time, and she used to run the B&B part of the farm. Ana, one of the daughters was running it now. Ana had been away at a wedding during most of our visit, so her brother was looking after us. He did a terrific job at suggesting places to go, and where to eat. His tip for the Connor Pass as part of our departure route was bang on.
As I like old tractors, I had a nice discussion with Mr. Lynch about some of the tractors he has owned in his career as a farmer.
It is a very homey B&B and I wish all of the best to Ana for keeping it going. Although, she has a family to raise and it is putting a strain on her as far as that goes. None the less, you will be well attended while staying at Killfountain.
