“Loving welcome, great hospitality, good food.”

The receptionist greeted us with an enthusiasm and warmth that made us feel instantly welcome - a boon to weary travellers having driven across from County Wicklow in the rain. Although the bed was smaller than we expected, the comfort and general standard of the room was high. The public areas were lovely - especially the lounge with its open fire and squashy sofas - and the restaurant offered great food. The staff were totally focused on our needs and remembered each day of our three night stay what we liked to eat for breakfast and dinner. The smoked haddock and the salmon on the breakfast menu were especially delicious.
The highlight of this part of our trip occurred outside of the hotel - meeting Fungi, the legendary Dingle Dolphin in the Bay - but, no matter how many times they must have heard it before, the staff listened happily and patiently to our recounting of this magical experience.
I checked into the spa for an aroma luxe massage and this was heavenly, too.

I have never trusted trip advisor and usually look at the negative comments to check out a hotel. However I fell it is worth writing to commend the dingle skellig on it's service. I went for the haloween break with four children, 10,9,7 & 4 plus my mother age 80. I have to say we all had a great break. The kids club really engaged with the kids with decorating gingerbread men and trips to Oceanworld etc. For the first time my children actually liked the kids club. The food was very good and excellent selection for the children. My only reservation was that the menue didn't really change in the main diningroom. However what we got was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised that the adults could use the spa facilities for free. That was the best bit for me as I got to sit in the hottub and admire the great view and then relax and read the free magazines. I hate being cold and I have to say that this hotel was the cosiest I've been to. Great for my mum who is older and likes to relax in the lounge. Best bit was the staff who really couldn't do enough for us. My daughter was coeliac and this was no problem. Even made the gingerbread men coeliac friendly for all the kids to decorate. The pool was slightly too cool for me but the kids didn't seemto mind. Will definitly go again, despite the rain! Loretta Hughes

“Absolutely Fabulous!”

I never cease to be overwhelmed by the exceptional level of service at the Skellig Hotel Dingle. From the moment you walk through the hotel doors you are offered a warm welcome from those at reception and this. No member of staff pasess with out a pleasant greeting and throughout staff have a way above average awareness of customer satisfaction. The Blasket Bar, whether resident or not, has a fabulous menu and very good value. Of note the Seafood Selection for the fish lovers and if not go for the toasted special, the best in Ireland! The restaurant, for breakfast and dinner, offers the most stunning views of the mouth of Dingle Harbour. Hotel is well appointed to make the most of Dingle Town too, just a short stroll to the townd centre. Very, very, highly recommended!

“Wonderful hotel and amazing food!”

I stayed here revert with my lather after I won a voucher for 2 nights and a dinner. The room was a junior suite and while the decor was old it was clean and bright - the room was xomfortable and the bathroom was great with a separate shower and bathtub.

The food in the restaurant was outstanding - they catered brilliantly to my coeliac requirements and the quality was of a very high standard.

The staff, from the receptionist to the waiters and the barmen were great and I spent a lovely evening in front of the fire in the bar sipping hot ports.

As we didn't pay for the trip I can't comment on value but we had an absolutely lovely time.

“Fabulous hotel!”

I stayed in this hotel recently on business and was impressed with the friendly staff the amazing location and the good food and service offered by this hotel.
The location and the view is amazing, it would brighten your day to look out the window and look outside.
Breakfast was super, as was a dinner that we had there one night.
The staff were more then friendly and helpful.
Internet was very patchy and actually quite bad and the rooms were a little warm with no air-con. (small complaint).
I will definitely return!
