Unexpectedly stumbled upon Park Hotel Kenmare on a road trip to Ireland and it became the highlight of our trip. Only stayed 3 days, but wish we could have stayed longer! The service was outstanding, very attentive - and the facilities were the perfect combination of old world charm and yet perfect functionality (with hints of modernity). The pool/spa was a highlight, as was breakfast overseeing the garden. Feeding "Brownie," the on-premises pony (?) was pretty cool. And walking around the premises was enchanting. The best thing about Park Hotel Kenmare was the location! Right in town...walking distance to great restaurants and pubs (where we enjoyed a wonderful live performance!)...it was very, very hard to leave. Authentic depiction of Ireland...we are already planning our next trip to Ireland because of this experience. We would highly recommend a stay at Park Hotel if you visit Kenmare...it won't disappoint!

I stayed here midsummer, June 2011. A wonderful room overlooking Kenmare bay.
My two evening meals were absolute quality - great array of fish and locally produced beef, lamb and cheeses with a cellar full of wines, brandy and liquors.
The barman, John, doubles up as a saturday morning treking guide. We travelled with him from Lady's View back to Kenmare across the mountain within Killarney national park. If you stay at the Park hotel then take this gentle 10km hike after your sumptuous breakfast feast on the terrace.
The Spa facility and 20 metre pool are new and something which all guests should avail of.
Staff were professional, courteous and are able to give a truly Irish smile with a Kerry lilt. Most of the staff are recruited locally but they have had hospitality training and deliver a five star service.
I intend staying here again 2012.

I happened across with Park Hotel Kenmare on my recent holiday in Ireland. Unfortunately I could only stay one night, but will definitely return for a longer stay. Yes, the hotel is expensive, but it is worth it. The staff are amazing. I felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was great and is worth the price just for the service. My room was large, comfortable and charming. Kenmare is a beautiful town and the hotel is very well situated close to the town centre. I can't wait to return.

What a wonderful warm genuine welcome back we received at the Park Hotel, Kenmare. Fantastic to see the same smiling faces at reception, bar, restuarant...................to be remembered one year on is a credit to the staff.
This hotel has the balance just right, welcoming to new guests and the " craic" ( Fun) with the regular guests. The food is better than any master chef dishes I have seen on TV, pure heaven on your taste buds..........
My sister decided to have a "Samas" expierence..................being a therapist herself she was very impressed with the facilities, the staff and therapists ...all in all ....pure joy.
Go to the Park Hotel for its beautiful location and stay for the service..........its more than a 5 star in my book.........
I will be back again that's for sure till then I will spread the word what a wondereful Irish gem this hotel truely is...............................
