I am staying in Marina Residence on my way to and from Kas for two years (both times in June). For me this is the good choice in terms of quality, location and service.

The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Antalya, very close to the Marina and beach. So it is the very centre. The hotel is a restored old mansion, it comprises three buildings. I've stayed in four different rooms, so I may compare. One of the buildings faces the street parallel to the fortress wall, the windows overlook the Marina, so if there are some celebrations, this side may be noisy (the last time I stayed there was a holiday in the Marina, with music playing deep in the night). Otherwise, if there are no happenings, it is rather quiet, even the motocycles will not bother you too much. The other side of the same building faces the pool, and it is very quiet. As for two other buildings, they are quite deep in the yard, so there should not be too much noise in the rooms.

The rooms are cosy and stylish, with all the necessary facilities. The whole hotel is full of antique things and items that make you feel the historical atmosphere of the place. See the photos in the lobby of what the hotel looked like, when it was bought, and compare with what it looks like now.

The swimming pool is worth a special notice. It is double-level: you swim on one level and may see the swimmers from the dining tables below. The cots are soft and cosy, towels are provided. The water temperature in the pool was all right in June.

There is a massage parlour and a hamam available in the hotel. I haven't been there, so may say nothing about this service, though the selection of massages seems versatile.

The breakfast is pefect, the range of foods is wider than in usual Turkish hotels: there is a good selection of cheeses, some hot sausage and eggs, nice bowls of yoghurts (worth a try), the usual tomatos-cucumbers-olives and - wow- honey in honeycomb (worth a try). If you order a dinner, it is a fine thing - very atmospheric. The waiters are doing a small performance as - pa-pam - they open the main dish.

The whole staff is highly professional and eager to help.

So if you are planning to stay in Antalya, Marina Residence may be a really good choice.
