“A Little Better Than Average”

I stayed here on a solo trip to Charlottesville to tour Monticello and Montpelier. I liked the idea of a room with a jacuzzi tub that was close enough to both places at a reasonable rate. It was a slightly-above average stay and below are the pros and cons:

Pros: Jacuzzi tub was great; staff was nice; the continental breakfast was much more than what I would have considered "continental"; there was plenty of free parking; and I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room and the free WiFi was great, too.

Cons: The air conditioning system was extremely loud; the bed was not that comfortable for me (and these two things combined to cause poor sleep quality); the elevator was very slow (minor issue but one nevertheless); the one evening I decided to stay in (tired from touring all day) I was disappointed in the quality of the TV reception. Of course people don't necessarily stay in hotels to watch TV but it's still a minor negative.

If I could have given the rating as 3.5, I would have. I rounded up rather than down based on the excellent continental breakfast that was included with the room as that provided much more value.

“ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!”

This hotel was great for a weekend getaway for my husband and I! It was very clean and inviting! The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous, which is hard to find these days. There is a walmart directly across the street for those items forgotten at home. The pool was heated and depending on the time of day, you may even have it to yourself...which was a plus since we were on a weekend escape! An added bonus for us was that it's 100% smoke free!

“Nice Clean Quiet Pet Friendly Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2010

This Hotel is about three years old. I had asked for a quiet ground floor room as I was traveling with a small dog. The lady at the desk saw my request and asked me if it would be ok to take a room on the second floor because there was a large group of kids staying on the ground floor and it would be much quieter. I thanked her for letting me know. I went to the second floor room and was very pleased to find a very clean bedroom and bath. I had very quiet comfortable nights sleep. In the morning I went down to the free breakfast and had some hot eggs toast orange juice and coffee. It was your standard free hotel morning breakfast. There is an I hop next door if you would like to have breakfast or dinner there. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and will be staying here again
