“Good value”

Have eaten here many times. Good local hotel with great range of menu choices. Children are very welcome. However my only negative comment is that although the hotel has been renovated within the past couple of years, the tables are very close together and if 4 people are eating at a table there isn't enough room. Having said that the food is nothing very fancy but is excellent at a good price. Hotel is very central to Lurgan. Have also had a few staff "dos" in the Ashburn. They can lay on good food depending on the maximum price you wish to spend.

“Good Food”

I recently traveled to Lurgan for a funeral, lucky i was able to stay with family. But several times went to the Ashburn for a meal, found the food to be nothing fancy just wholesome good food at a fair price.
Each time i was in there seemed to be more dinners than drinkers, not that there was anything wrong with the Guinness.
There seemed to be a variety of dinners from young familys to a group of pensioners, lots of them seemed to be regulars, so that says a lot for the hotel when locals go to eat there.

Stay here twice a year, it's always something to look forward to, the food is very good with excellent service from bar & waiting staff.
The rooms are fine, always clean & comfortable.
If booking at the weekend, make sure & get a room away from the night club doors.

“Little Gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2009

Stayed one night only, wish it had been longer. Staff were lovely, bar meals excellent value, good base for Lough Neagh, Armagh etc. Room a little small and the street is noisy (as was the baby in the next room!!!) Would return.
