The keyfactors of this hotel are Else and Finn. They made my stay to an outstanding experience. I could really feel that the abbeydale hotel is much more than a business to them. I almost felt like being at home. The food is really great. From fresh backed bread over Filet Wellington to the chocolat-deserts. I loved it. Finn also gave us good insider tipps about what to see in the area around Chesterfield. I recommend the hotel to everyone who is looking for a familiar atmosphere combined with high class, fresh food.

A charming, welcoming hotel. I have been there a number of times for work, so nice to go somewhere where the personal touch is so clearly in evidence. B oth owners could not be more welcoming, the hotel is warm and inviting.

Breakfast and evening meals are excellent...seek this hotel out rather than going to a chain. I would also recommend the hotel for a personal visit as it is ideally located to explore the Peak district.

a very friendly , welcoming hotel. very clean & tidy with nice little exta's like toilitries in the bathroom , box tissues, chocolates & biscuits on the tea & coffe tray , nice fresh fluffy towels .very nice little touche's . breakfast wa fantastic . would recommend to anyone.

What a lovely, welcoming hotel this is. I was there for work but I told my husband about it when I got home and would happliy go back with him for a weekend. The owners are very warm and welcoming people and dinner and breakfast was superb.
