A rare work overnighter made me look on TA for the best hotels in Chesterfield. This came up, and I was surprised to find it within my company's list as they usually only run to the local production-line boxes. A small hotel with a B&B feel for comfort, it's fabulous - superb room, warm, friendly, stunning food, parking - nuff said. When I explained I might be in late due to some festivities the team were more than happy to make sure I got in OK (they do lock the door at night which is emintently sensible on a main road), and I'd 100% recommend it - and have done to all my colleagues. Pity I won't be back for a while but I'll definitely stay here when I am.

We have been to Buckinghams twice now and found the food and the welcome superb! I have to have a gluten free diet, which can sometimes be a problem especially at breakfast. Not a bit of it. We did inform chef in advance and the food was absolutely delicious and I didn't have to worry. He even made me my own gluten free toast and crumpets - delicious! The rooms were spotless and the staff friendly. We were a party of four and the last to leave the restaurant, but there was no hint of hurrying us along.
We will be back.

We have visited Buckingham's twice now and have been blown away by the food on both occasions. This really is a Restaurant with a difference. The owners really do take care of you from the moment you arrive. Excellent food, excellent wine selection, and comfortable rooms, with a wonderful teddy bear to greet you.

Booked for a meal for my Mum's 70th. 5 of us went on a Sunday night and the Buckingham's opened up JUST FOR US. Felt very special and had a most wonderful meal that catered superbly for my special dietary needs of gluten, wheat, dairy, sugar free plus I hate Fish!!!!! Would thoroughly recommend to everyone and anyone. We also had an overnight stay before Xmas and the service was excellent then too.
