On the positive side - extremely friendly staff who were polite, helpful and couldn't do enough to look after us.

On the negative side - unfortunately, quite a few things. Firstly, the hotel is in a very noisy location, between two dual carrigeways. However, it is not a "standard" IBIS building, so doesn't have good sound proofing, so every vehicle passing by can be heard clearly in the room, morning or night. Secondly, the rooms are worn and tired, particularly the bathrooms, which are not the normal IBIS shower "pods" but look more like Travelodge bathrooms - manky floors, mouldy tiles and a shower which would have been better described as a trickle.

The rooms also lacked the normal IBIS soundproofed door, so internal noise was also a major problem, thanks to selfish guests who can't shut their doors quietly but just let them slam shut and who hold shouted conversations at all hours.

This is the first IBIS of many that I'd say I would try to avoid if possible - that's a shame because apart from the above issues, the location is good for access to the Peak District and there are some nice restaurants within ten minutes walk - oh and as others have noted, if you do walk out, be prepared for a walk across a very dark and dingy footbridge or to take your life in your hands across multiple lanes of traffic with no crossing assistance.

Stay at this hotel regularly. Breakfast service is one downside. Never seems to be enough staff on to get buffet properly ready, clear tables etc.
Currently breakfast on offer at half price. At full price (£7-50) is not value for money.

we enjoyed our stay, good value for money .would recommend. need to pay a bit attention in bathroom the hotel is placed in a very good position for anyone traveling to any location for a short or long stay.there is room for a car at rear of hotel.
