Due to me having to change the date of my wedding and shuffle around people staying here and offering my own home to family and friends I actually ended up staying here twice in the same week and both occasions were exactly as I'd expected. The hotel is centrally located so I have to be honest that there is noise disturbance from other guests on a weekend and also due to its close proximity to the chesterfield bypass, the main road around the south of chesterfield towards chatsworth and Buxton and the peaks. The rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable and decorated according to the type of hotel this is. Be honest with your expectations and you won't be disappointed. It's not glam but it's not a YHA either. For the money you pay and the service you get for the room you have there is nothing bad can be said about the ibis. The noise problem is all to do with passing traffic and other guests, not something that ibis is doing wrong. One bad point that I should mention though is the available car parking, it's limited and does get full quick so be sure to check in early and whatever you do don't move your car until you check out because once your space is gone you won't be getting another and then you're at the mercy of the local traffic wardens. . . . Don't even get me started on them, fellow drivers will understand!!!
