“Great over night stay”

Stayed for one night in Jan after our trip into Bath. What a find. We stayed in the house on the top floor overlooking the valley with superb views. The four poster bed was very
comfortable & the room had many quirky aspects which added to the experience. The staff were all very helpful & friendly.
Breakfast was exceptional & plentiful.
Will certainly return. Great location for exploring Bath & the surrounding villages.

“Enjoyed our Stay!”

We stayed here because we wanted a place outside of Bath and were very happy with this choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room a nice size. We requested a cot for our 9 month old and there was one waiting for us in the room upon arrival. The breakfast was very good and kept us full until the evening.

The only con would be that the wireless internet is only available in the main hotel so we had to go to the lobby to get internet.

We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

“Great value for very nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Booked a room for two nights at a very discounted rate on LateRooms, and thought it was excellent value for money. We stayed in an 'executive double' in the new building, and the room (or rather, suite) was spacious, comfortable, and consisted of a large bedroom with sofa, small flatscreen TV, a side area with desk and cupboard, and a bathroom (shower only). Everything about the room was neat and clean (if not overly imaginative with decor). Our only slight complaint with the room was the green light which is kept on at all times - presumably as a security/fire emergency light; it was right over the bed and cast a horribly sickly green glow over us as we tried to sleep! Got a bit more used to it on the second night though.

The staff are young and very keen to help, and the older Hall is smart, if a bit dated (but I think there are plans to renovate this at any time). My boyfriend is a vegetarian and the veggie food choices are extremely limited - there's one dish on the dinner menu (dinner was overpriced, I think, and I would go elsewhere to eat if I stayed here again), and no veggie-specific dishes on the breakfast menu (unless you count a boiled egg!). Our risotto cakes for dinner were nicely presented but unexciting (and as I mentioned, overpriced at £15 for a bit of leftover risotto shaped into balls!), and there are a few surcharges on the menus to look out for. But service was impeccable.

Overall I think this is a very nice hotel for, perhaps, my parents to visit! And I would stay again/recommend it because it is good value for money (when discounted) and is close to many lovely places to visit if you are travelling by car. But I wouldn't dine at the restaurant in the evening, and might request a room without an emergency light over the bed!

“Second visit and not dissapointed.”

I stayed at Rudloe Hall again on Monday 9th January for a second time and it was again an extremely enjoyable, comfortable and pleasant stay.

I was staying in the 'treetops' complex which again was invredibly useful for business purposes as it has a free adsl connection to the internet and a very useful workspace.

Dinner in the restaurant was perfection. I had a smoked salmon starter with loin of pork as a main meal. Both courses were presented with professionalism and the taste matched the presentation. Ive enjoyed meals in top London hotels which dont compare!

Weathert was good and I managed a little exploration of the grounds which are coming on nicely.

Next time, i'll remember my golf clubs and practice my short game on the 3par practice course in the grounds.

Im now looking for excuses to be in the location so I can stay again!
