We turned up here one cold evening in February and were lucky enough to get prime armchair seats next to the open fire. The food we ordered was really excellent, the best Steak & Kidney with real suet pastry and a very tasty burger. The staff are friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is really welcoming. I'd thoroughly recommend this place and look forward to trying the accomodation on the future.

Booked a one night stay over the Xmas period - a little Pricey but the rooms were amazing! Roll top bath was lush! And huge bed! Loved the decor in the
Room! (room 4 i recall) Room was a little noisy as its top of the stairs above a busy pub though that didn't bother us. Nice breakfast served in the pub.
Front of the pub could be done up (where the few parking spaces are) - when I first saw that wasn't
Impressed as it resembled the front of a rugby club! But the side of the pub / front with the beer garden was beautiful. Steep walk down into the town and what seemed a long walk up in the rain though probs needed
To burn off the Indian we had for dinner. Overall lush rooms but probs a wee bit steep in price!

Lovely stay at The Castle Inn for the weekend, Fri to Sun.
Service - Tori and the staff were very helpful, friendly, attentive but relaxed, and made our stay very pleasant. The atmosphere is more like you're staying with friends than at a formal hotel, which we liked. Nothing is too much trouble.
Room - we stayed in Room 1 and it was huge with a gorgeous bathroom and smart decor. There was more than enough space for 2 people to get about and not be tripping over the suitcase.
Location - this slightly surprised us as it is in the residential part of Bradford, on a mini roundabout, and its an fairly steep uphill walk from the town centre. Once you're inside the B&B you forget the surroundings outside but you almost don't expect to find The Castle where it is. There is a gorgeous view over the town and valley from the dining room. The Castle is well located from which to explore the sights of Wiltshire.
Food & Drink - we ate at The Castle both nights of our stay and the food was very good. It's non-portentious, well done pub food and it hits the mark. Breakfast is served until midday which adds to the lovely relaxed vibe of the place. The bar is popular and there are lots of ales for those that like their ale. On the first night we arrived there was a party happening in the bar so it was noisy in our room for a while, but people were all gone and the noise stopped promptly by 11:30 when the pub closed.

The Castle is a fantastic pub, serving a great selection of beers in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Having spent a night in the bar, it's clear its a favourite with the locals which is great news in these tough times for the pub trade. The owners and staff look after everyone who visits, and were very helpful to us through out our stay.

The rooms are very clean, tidy, and well decorated. They've all the usual facilities you'd expect in a hotel of this type, plus a few quirks that come with a building of the age of the Castle. As other reviewers have said, there's very limited parking available. From memory, the parking is limited to 7 or 8 spaces and if you're arriving later in the evening there's a fair chance they'll all be occupied. Probably best to call ahead and ask the hotel staff for advice on where else to park if this is the case.

The atmosphere in the pub/restaurant made up for the minor points above. Would we return for another stay - definitely!
