“The Absolute Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

I have stayed at Cul Erg twice now, and it has been absolutely faultless both times. The place is absolutely immaculate, and the cleanest, best presented B&B I have ever stayed in. Even after a space of six years between visits there wasn't even a hint of wear and tear about the place. Lovely breakfast, lovely rooms, lovely hosts, I cannot recommend this place enough!
Portstewart is a lovely little place and a great base for the Causeway Coast. Absolutely fabulous.

“Best B&B in Portstewart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

This is the best place to stay in Portstewart. Close to the promenade with its pubs and shopping facilities and a great point to start your trips to the Northern coast from.
The room is very nice and clean. Friendly atmosphere and very helpful tipps from J.J. and Marie for our trips. Thanks again for your hospitality! We'll be back!

“Comfortable Rooms, Wonderful Hospitality, Fabulous Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We stayed at Cul Erg for 3 nights early September 2011. Arriving on the day of the gale sweeping across the top of Ireland, JJ showed us to our room which was lovely with a view of the sea and the Atlantic Circle, the sitting room and also a guest kitchen.
Marie's breakfasts were fabulous, very good choices available especially the fresh fruit salad, the ulster breakfast was perfect in everyway.

Our room decoration was restful and the bed extremely comfortable. There are extra touches of handcream in the bathrooms.

JJ & Marie's hospitality was brilliant they were both very welcoming and JJ's knowledge of the area is helpful when deciding where to go and what to do.

We've already recommended Cul Erg to friends & family on our experience and are sure they will not be disappointed. Definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room was on the front still quiet.

“the best place to stay when golfing in the north west”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

four of us stayed here in October while playing at Portrush&Portstewart and we could not have been looked after any better - the hospitality and standard of accommodation is excellent and the breakfast is legendary - especially Marie's scrambled eggs with smoked salmon!
An ideal base for golf trips and within walking distance of local restaurants, bars etc.
I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Room Tip: located on a quiet cul de sac so no street noise whatsoever, regardless of room selection

“Consider making this your base for Northern Ireland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

Although it has been said over and over Cul Erg is excellent and I think you would be very hard pushed to want anything more from a B&B. We spent 2 nights here but in hindsight if we had known just how compact Northern Ireland is, it would have been 4 as we would have travelled out and back each day.

Turn the corner and you find yourself on the promenade and an easy stroll will present several eating venues (pubs and restaurants), ice-cream parlours etc.

We really enjoyed our stayed and hope you will be encouraged to stay here too.
