“Pleasant stay”

Accomodation can be hard to find in Portadown but we decided to try this one out. Cherryville House is a new building in a period style. So what you see is what you get. Our room was clean and I was surprised to see that there was an ensuite bath and overhead shower. Baths are a rareity these days ; so we were able to relax and rest ourselves with a bath after our long journey. (Providing of course you brought your bath or shower gel, as none of these were supplied.) Our room was at the front of the house and there is ample parking beside the house. The rooms view was pleasant - fields - but sadly the weather was poor during our visit which rather marred our stay.
The breakfast was generous and served in the conservatory. Our host was able to provide flexible serving times - upto 9.30am. Food included a cooked breakfast, toasts and cereals. The grounds were nice, should one like to walk about for a breath of fresh air, after or before breakfast.
The premises were easy to find, near the M1/Dungannon Road turn-off. However, for our purposes, it was a little too far out from Portadown town centre - five minutes drive. Compared to other B&B in the region, this one would be the farthest out of Portadown town. The usual facilities and their own website, makes looking and booking quite easy. The owner, Clare, is really quite obliging and I'm sure would offer some sensible guidance to the traveller or guests. We would hope to return to Cherryville House, but we feel it is a little too far outside the town for our purposes. The location is ideal for the traveller, who journeys to/from Belfast. This is because of its proximity to the motorway. Shops, garages, food stores are NOT within walking distance from the premises, so if you need to pop out for something, you'll have quite a drive to find a sensible store.

Small, friendly Bed & Breakfast just off M1 and handy for Portadown, Armagh and surrounding area in NI's beautiful Orchard County.
A friendly welcome and a good cooked breakfast guaranteed.

Thank you Clare, for making our stay such a lovely one. The warm welcome you gave us was so lovely and the bedrooms were the best I have ever stayed in, comfortable and warm with spotless 'en suite' facilities, coffee and tea facilities, and the beautiful guest lounge and breakfast area, were all of the absolute highest standard. This Bed and Breakfast is the best I have ever stayed in. Well done, and I would to highly recommend you and to wish you all the best in your future business.

(Thanks so much and the wedding, the reason for our stay was brilliant!!!.)

“Fantastic Value”

Fantastic value for money. House is First Class without doubt. Truly is luxury. Wish my own house was as nice. Travel on business regularly. This is as good as any 4 or 5 star hotel. Local hotel was quoting me £70 + Breakfast. This is £30 and you still have telephone points, ensuite etc. I recommend it to all business and leisure travellers. Plus it's right next to the M1.
