“A great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

We stayed at Park Hill for 8 nights in August 2011 as part of our 3 month UK/Europe adventure. The B&B is in a great location both in terms of it being an easy (and pleasant) walk into Skipton, and as a location for exploring the Dales area and beyond.

Anne and Lindsay were wonderful hosts, both were extemely helpful and went out of their way to assist us (we had traveled from New Zealand and weren't familiar with the area). Lindsays full english breakfast was outstanding - freshly cooked and delicious.

The accommodation is of an extremely high standard and small touches like the fridge upstairs which operates on an honesty basis was a nice touch. We would gladly stay at Park Hill should we return to this beautiful part of the world.
TIP
If you get a chance visit the White Scar Cave - they are close by and the trip into the cave was an amazing experience - Lindsay can fill in the details for you.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

What can i say? I can only echo the views of the other reviewers. Excellent hospitality all the way through. Anne and Lindsay couldnt do enough for us and the rest of the guests. A cracking breakfast and a good nights sleep. The guest house was situated about 5-10 minutes walk away from the town centre, on a quiet road. Thanks again for a great stay, and not mentioning the pork pie incident!!!!

My wife and I have stayed at Park Hill three times this year. Anne and Lindsey are a very friendly couple and make you very welcome. There are four double rooms all with good sized modern bathrooms and there is a complimentary crystal decanter of sherry in each room!
At breakfast there is a wide range of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghourts etc. and of course an excellent full English breakfast if required. Parking is not a problem and it is about a ten minute walk down into the centre of Skipton. It is excellent value for money.

“Wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

My wife and I stayed at Park Hill B&B for 3 nights and had a great time. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean and a good size. There was a parking space within the property, which was very handy as we had a rental car. The price for our stay was excellent value for money, the best value of any of the places we stayed at in England. Breakfasts were delicious and filled us so much that we did not need a big lunch. Anne was an excellent host - very friendly and helpful (Lindsay was away when we were there). Location is very handy to most things - a short walk (10 minutes) to Skipton Castle or into the town. We drove to the Bronte Cottage, at Haworth, this took about 50 minutes to get there, as signposting for the cottage is not the best so we did have a little trouble finding the museum carpark. Coming back, though, it only took 40 minutes. The Skipton markets are fantastic. We bought clothes and a handbag as they were such good value, particularly compared to prices back in Australia (about a third of the price). We had dinner at the Red Lion, the oldest pub in Skipton dating back to the 13th century. Very good meals and very reasonably priced. A visit to Skipton Castle is a must. It is in very good condition and a real insight into the way things were back then. To really appreciate the castle, allow at least 2 hours for a visit. We also did a canal cruise - lasted about an hour, was very relaxing and a good way to see the surrounds of Skipton. Overall, we loved Skipton as a town and loved our stay at Park Hill B&B. We highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay there again if we return to Skipton.

Room Tip: All of the rooms seemed equally as good.
