Had a 3 nght stay while visiting this area. The guesthouse is tucked up a little drive away from the road and is quite simply delightful with very friendly hosts. Our room was nicely decorated and a good size. Breakfast was lovely - I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad with it, and there was plentiful freshly brewed coffee. The (gastro)pub next door was not bad at all but I recommend a half mile walk in a great setting along the towpath to Hemingford Abbots where the Axe and Compass serves very tasty and cheaper food in a lovely friendly setting. Both Hemingford villages are real chocolate box places and with easy access from the A14, this is a great place off the beaten track but near enough to civilisation to make a good base for exploring.
