We went here as we had been recommended it by two other, separate lots of friends: we were not disappointed. The hotel is on several levels throughout, so you do need to be good on your feet, and there is a private beach which is down a steep slope, but its worth the walk! The rooms looked clean but a little dated - however, after only 2 days of our stay, we were asked to move and offered one of the more luxurious bungalows, in the grounds - we later found out that this was because they were going to completely renovate the hotel this winter, and were hoping to start on the wing we were in. The bungalows are as someone else has said on here, decorated and kitted out to a very high standard. They all appeared to have a good view, and most of them are very private as regards the balconies/terraces. The food was good, not outstanding, but a varied menu and in fact almost too much to eat at times - there was waiter service but we understand that this may be changed after the renovations to a buffet. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful. Most of them had worked there for many years. We left on the last day of the hotel being open for this year, and were offered a free lunch by the Management before we went to the Airport; a nice gesture. There are 3 beaches within easy reach & some shops within walking distance. If its not too hot, its also possible to walk into the Capital, Argostoli, and you can catch a bus back later. We stayed for a fortnight and felt thoroughly chilled out by the end of our very pleasant stay. Recommend this as a place to relax totally.
