“Excellent!”

I was in Truro for work, and had booked myself in to the Bay Tree for one night. I arrived at about 10.30pm which wasn't a problem.

Was impressed with my room - a good size, comfortable bed, warm, quiet. On the landing there is a table with plenty of magazines and books at your disposal. Breakfast in the morning was amazing - there was a menu with loads of hot food available, as well as a great selection of cereals, jams, fruit etc.

Ann, the owner, cannot be more helpful. I had problems with my accommodation for the following evening, and although she was fully booked she rang around all the other b+b owners in the area to get me a room at a good price, and then even rang later that day to make sure I didn't need anything else! She's a great conversationalist, so friendly and she is the highlight of the b+b.

We are from Western Australia and have stayed in quite a few B@B s.We rang Anne to arrange accomodation with her.Yes we were very welcome. We wouldnt be arriving until 8-30pm.No problems wa sher reply. We were late arriving due to a bus driver who didnt know the way.We were greeted like old friends, made very welcome and shown to our room.We went down to breakfast and were very suprised to be given a menu.No this is what is being served and too bad if you dont want it.We were made to feel like friends not clients. Our room was very clean and comfortable and loads of tea, coffee, biscuits.Lovely hot showers. After a long day of being out and about we opened our bedroom door to be greeted by the lovely welcoming light of having had our lamps turned on.We cannot recomend Anne and her lovely welcoming ways enough. This is a home away from home. And we shall certainly be coming back to stay with Anne again.A lovely Lady.

“Anns moto "Arrive as a guest and leave as a friend"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

Myself and my partner recently had the good fortune of discovering the Bay tree Guest house in Truro.
We were welcomed into a beautiful home by the proprietor Ann Renninson Talbot, who made our stay in Cornwall a fantastic experience. Aside from a very warm, welcoming and clean environment, the lovely Ann was a wealth of friendliness, knowledge and quick whit and humour.
The rooms were clean warm and the beds were so very comfortable.
The Breakfasts cant be beat, they cover beyond what one can expect from a B&B.
To date The Bay tree has been the best guest house my partner and myself have stayed in.

We are looking forward to our return visit very much

“Everything you need!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

After knocking on Ann's door asking if she had any vacancies. she was most welcoming asking what I was after. We were a mother and son after a twin room and she gladly guided me to have a look at what she offered and promptly explained everything. I couldn't of found the Bay Tree a more comfortable and affordable accommodation close to town. Ann provided plenty of information regarding restaurants and pubs etc. near by. The breakie was fabulous and plenty of it and the affable Ann couldn't of been more help when we had trouble starting our car the next morning. If your looking for comfortable, affordable homely accommodation in the heart of town this is it.
