“Excellent Guesthouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

My brother and I visited the Baytree Guesthouse as we were in Truro for our neice's wedding. I found Ann to be very welcoming and friendly and the twin room my brother and i shared was very comfortable. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast menu which was very enjoyable. Ann was a bit organisational but as this was my first visit to Truro, I found this to be very helpful as Ann is a fountain of knowledge in all things Cornish and prevented us from making mistakes and running into problems that we would have had otherwise.
I would definitely recommend the Baytree very highly and would certainly especially recommend it to those who are visiting Truro for the first time or after a period of absence.

Room Tip: Ann will provide you with the best room to sut your needs.

“Perfect Accommodation for Truro”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

There is only one bathroom for four bedrooms, but it was always available and clean, and there are vanity units in the rooms. This is an ideal place for anyone who enjoys company as Ann, the owner, chats with you for ages and she introduces the other guests - breakfast was great not only for the food, but for the company and conversation. We will definitely try here first if we come back to Truro!

“A homely and friendly guest house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

Staying at the Bay Tree is a bit like staying with your Auntie. Ann, the proprietor, is so friendly and chatty, that you will feel like a member of the family by the time you leave! My room was a little small, not en-suite, and some of the furniture had seen better days, but it was clean enough. There are ornaments and plants everywhere.

The guest house is easy to find - just walk downhill from the station. The town centre is just a few minutes' walk away. The Bay Tree is on a main road out of town, which gets quite busy in the morning. Truro also seems to be popular with gulls, which can be quite noisy for much of the night.

“Excellent place to stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2011

The Bay Tree is conveniently located about half way between the train station and the city centre. It's homely and comfortable rather than boutique. The rooms aren't en suite but I never queued for the shower or toilet. Breakfast had lots choices. Ann is a very chatty lady. All in all a pleasant stay.
