Stayed at Le Grand Tetras for 3 days 16th to 19 Feb. Rooms good (and hot), food Excellent. 10 Minute walk to Ski lift and 5 minute walk to bars. Cyril and his family looked after us and we would Highly Recommended this hotel for Value, Food and Location.

A great place to stay. The rooms are clean and a decent size. Some have a balcony and most have views. The food is great too, go half board, its really worth it. It adds up to great value for money. The location is also great. Close to the centre of town but quiet.
But what is really exceptional is the thoughtfulness of Cyril and his wife who run the place. They are the third generation of his family to run the place and nothing is too much trouble. Their thoughtfulness really cuts across boundaries, I mentioned that I supported a football team and Cyril dug out that day's result out for me from the internet, one of our group was pregnant and he came over and offered to cook the steak a bit more for her, our flight left late and they let us stay in our room for a few hours longer without any charge... Genuinely nice people that don't believe in getting stars but believe instead in giving great food and accommodation at affordable prices. Loved it. Will certainly go back again.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Morzine and stayed half board at Le Grand Hotel Tetras. We really can't fault the hotel, the rooms are nice, food delicious and plentiful and staff lovely.
The location is great, it's a short walk up the hill from the centre of town and for the price it's a real find.

Just got back from a 4 night stay. Found the hotel just as described. The room was very clean and well appointed and warm. We stayed in room 5 which has a fantastic double aspect, overlooking Morzine and out towards Avoriaz. The bed was comfortable and when we asked for some more pillows after the first night they were there when we returned that evening. Also has a bath and constant piping hot water which was fantastic for instant recuperation. Its a 10/15 minute walk to Morzine up and down some hilly paths but there was a bus stop 2 minutes away that took you close to the Super Morzine lift which provides access to Avoriaz and a further 5 minute walk to the Morzine/Les Gets Telecabin.

Cyril and his team are fantastic. Very hospitable and welcoming without going over the top. They were friendly and all spoke very good English (which made up for our embarrassingly bad French). We didn't make use of the small bar area but by our last night there were a few groups of guys over for a long weekend and they seemed to have no complaints!!

The food was excellent and certainly a step up from usual Chalet fair. we would have no hesitation in recommending Le Grand Tetras and will certainly keep it on top of our list when we return to Morzine.
