“Great Hotel, brilliant staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This was our third year in a row staying at The Petit Dru for our annual girls skiing weekend and it just gets better each year (returned on 16/1/12). Group of 11 girls of mixed abilities. We are now looking to book again for next year, we were thinking of going else where but there doesn't seem much point, as this hotel and the skiing area are brilliant. I am sure we would regret trying somewhere else. The hotel staff are really wonderful, so friendly and helpful and the same faces each year. The rooms are good very clean, and with a lovely view of the village, church bells haven't bothered us. It s very easy to get catch the ski bus to either Avoriaz or Morzine as the stop is right outside, and after skiing it is a pleasant 10 min walk into the centre of Morzine, you go out of the back of the hotel to walk into town, would recommend the Buddah Bar and one below it ( sorry can't remember the name) for apres ski. Lots of lovely shops to wander around also. Dinner was always of a good standard, soup, starter, fish or meat for main course and then a large sellection of dessert's and cheese. The waiters will accommodate fussy eaters, we had one girl who only wanted chicken each night and our waiter arranged this for her, they remembered her from the previous year!. The hotel even opened up the breakfast buffet early on our last day so that we could have something to eat before our mini bus collected us at 6.45am, this was so kind of them and sets this hotel apart from the rest I would say.

“A pleasure to stay”

We stayed as a family for 8 nights over New Year, the hotel was excellent, normally when booked on Half Board we will still eat out a couple of times, but not in this case. The food was very good, the waiters were so friendly, but also professional.
We stayed in a family room which was adequate and cleaned daily, the church bells were heard but not a problem, we knew what the time was !!
I would return to this hotel without hesitation, being just away from the centre but not too far, the skiing area is vast and excellent for all levels. You can leave your boots and skis if you have hired in the hire shops if you wish not to transport them back to the hotel.

“Lovely Hotel, recommended.”

Stayed for a four night skiing trip, booked at short notice and very pleased with the result.
Food is very good with helpful waiters, all staff friendly and hotel was warm with Intersport ski hire within the hotel which was helpful. Free ski bus stops nearly outside and only a short walk in to Morzine. Only downside was that no tea or coffee facilities except for the bar that was not open at all times, but overall very enjoyable stay and would certainly return, oh and the church bells didn't bother us!

Room Tip: Room with balconies overlooking the village would be better.

Stayed here for 3 nights during my first ski trip. Morzine is a fantastic place for beginners, and represents good value for money. The hotel rooms were adequate and clean, staff friendly, excellent food included in the HB package. Enjoy!

“best skiing hotel in morzine!”

Such a good experience at le petit Dru! Fabulous food every night with a starter plus soup and then a choice of meat or fish and then large selection of puddings. Waiters were particularly pleasing, having traveled around a lot can safely say the friendliest and most helpful waiters we have ever come across! Same goes for all staff at the hotel. Ski/heated boot room is safe and easy access, bar area welcoming and pool table and table football great for kids!
Indoor/outdoor pool is bearable as it is heated and great fun when snowing outside! Always room in the sauna and jacuzzi (even at such a busy time as new year!) and bath robes and towels always available! Rooms were a comfortable size with balcony! The courtesy bus picks up outside the hotel which makes the distance to either morzine or the main lift up to avoriaz barely noticeable! However when using the rear entrance to the hotel it is just a short and very pleasant ten minute walk to the center, even closert to dixies a great irish bar amongst others. Its best (but more expensive) to get a full portes du soliel ski pass as when the weather is not so good lower down in morzine for example its just a short trip up elsewhere!
