Just returned from a superb one week holiday in Chalet Le Prele. Absolutely faultless. The chalet hosts Ed and Jenna were suberb - the quality of food each day was far better than we experienced in the restaurants! Attention to detail and service really made our holiday and the chalet was gorgeous. Short walk to the bus stop taking you direct to Avoriaz, regular buses every 10 minutes. We will be returning!

Just returned from a 2 week stay in Morzine including a week in Chalet Le Prele before moving to a sister Mountain Maverick chalet up the valley in Prodains.
Super personal service and sophisicated cuisine on offer by this years hosts Jenna & Ed .
Its a fairly new chalet purpose built with modern needs in mind yet maintains an old style charm through refined subtle use of interior decoraton .
Super comfortable bedding in large rooms with a well appointed bathroom including dressing gown and slippers.Very quiet at night dispite being on the road up to Avoriaz , its elevated positon provides a great view west down onto the town and over to the Pleney ski area .The first floor is a large open plan area combining a lounge , dining area and kitchen , the patio leads out onto a super spa pool.

The Chalet is located 1km east of the center of Morzine where the road up to Avoriaz meets at a roundabout with the road up to the Prodains Telepherique The Ambulance station is nearby.
This means is a short 10 minute walk down a minor road into town (which runs parallet to a large stream ) and takes you to the Town Hall square.
Bus Line A Les Prodains & Line D Mas Metoud provide frequent public transport options to and from Morzine and access to the slopes . To access Super Morzine its easier to take the bus into town and walk the 5 minutes to the Gondola. A useful Public Transport Guide is available via the Tourist Information counter ( Guide des transports de la Vallee d Aulps ).
Under indeal conditions its 30 min from the Chalet door to the piste of Avoriaz resort , allow more time in busier times , the Telepherique is to be replaced this summer . If busy use the chairlift to the right of Prodains .
If you wish to go out at night a driver is available every night oncall til 1.30 am

This chalet is best suited for couples or adult groups who appreciate a touch of refined luxury apres-ski

This was our second time in Chalet Le Prele. The chalet is lovely, clean and comfortable. Our chalet hosts on both occasions have been excellent as was the food. It was an easy decision to return for a second year - can't beat an evening in the hot tub after dinner. The clincher, however, was the delivery of a cup of tea in bed in the mornings - nice touch!
Location is good, with a ski bus stop just across the road and a few minutes ride to the Morzine or Avoriaz lifts in each direction. 10 minutes walk into town wasn't too difficult either.
I would highly recommend this chalet and Mountain Mavericks to anyone.

Really impressed with Mountain Mavericks from the minute we were collected at the airport to when we were returned safe and sound. Chalet Le Prele's in an ideal location in a quiet area with pretty views, but on the bus route for a short ride to the lifts and, if you've got any energy left, only a lovely ten minute walk into the centre of Morzine. Used Doorstep Ski so you can sort skiis and boots without having to put your wine down and Emma had all our ski passes ready, so that first morning we were just ready to go - very civilised! Nicky and Dave are lovely and looked after us wonderfully with delicious meals, lifts to the slopes, help on the slopes and even made time to check the temperature of the hot tub for us! And finally the skiing - fantastic! Endless slopes for our varying abilities. A very big thank you to Emma, Olly, Nicky and Dave. Already hoping we can return next year!
