Because we have used Hotels Campanile throughout France for over 30 years, we (wrongly) thought this would be OK, and in fact we had actually booked in for two nights, but because of the following reasons, we cancelled the second night and couldn't wait to get away.

On arrival, the Reception desk was unmanned and a small wait was necessary.
When I attempted to access the so-called "Free WiFi" in our room I encountered big problems. I went back to Reception and, when the man on the desk could be bothered to respond to me, (I had to wait some time) only speaking in French (!!) he told me that I had to sign up to something called "NOODO" which involved me having to carry my Laptop from the room to the Reception Desk. I did this, and reluctantly signed up to this ridiculous "Noodo", whatever that is.
Now this is most exceptional, because I have, as I said, used Campanile hotels for many years, and normally all one has to do in order to access the Internet is to fill in one's Name and Room Number, and "bingo" all connected to the Internet ... NOT SO AT THIS HOTEL !! As I had filled in all the lengthy details at the Reception Desk to get this "Noodo"I fell very aggrieved that once back in my Room, the Laptop lost the internet connection, and frankly, I just lost the will to live at this point, having travelled a very long three-hour journey to reach Annecy.

My husband and I eventually made our way to the main hotel for Dinner - and were VERY disappointed in the very, very limited range of items on the Buffet Menu ... normally at Campanile Hotels we have found a wonderful range of tasty and interesting items on the Buffet selection - NOT HERE !! And since there was very little choice on the A La Carte Menu, we settled for a Risotto - which when it arrived, looked a very skimpy portion, as though ONE portion had been divided into two portions.

So after breakfast the next day we cancelled our second nights' booking and moved on to a totally different hotel - and we are so glad we left. The remainder of our holiday was so much better - and we have no hesitation in stating that this particular Campanile Hotel is one of the worst experiences we have ever had.

I seriously urge you not to stay here.
