We stayed for one night at the Acotel Confort (which may be different than the Acotel Express). First of all the location is terrible, its in an industrial park, across from a movie theater. There is no scenery here. We were told we could walk into Avignon, but it is much farther than we thought, and also no good path to walk existed. We had three people, which is difficult to find rooms; but we ended up with bunk beds. The rooms are also really really small, even by Frances standards.

The main problem was that the Airconditioning did not work and it was like 95 degrees outside. The hotel staff was not willing to do anything about it, and the night emergency man said he was not able to fix it or provide us with a different room. So we sweltered. In the morning when we told the staff, he laughed and said he knew, but that we could have opened the window. They were not willing to give us any compensation.

If for some reason you are forced to stay here, bring your own towels. Theirs are like dish rags.

Clearly, for the price it is not going to be the nicest of hotels. but there are better options in Avignon or even try Orange.
