“Really enjoyed our short stay with Emma and Philip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

This is a gem of an establishment in an absolutely beautiful location. Our room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We got a lovely welcome from Emma and we were very well looked after. Would love to return and spend longer at this location

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor, but from looking at the website, I would expect that all the rooms...

“Super house & location and great hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

Had a great three night stay at this lovely chambres d'hotes at the end of May, staying in an attractive room with good breakfasts taken in the stylish dining room. The house is set in a quiet road a few minutes walk from the coast and is walking distance into St Palais for easy dining. There's lots of pleasant outside seating where drinks and breakfast could be taken in warm weather along with a small bar/reception area.
We often travel down to the Pyrenees and would definitely stay at this B & B again. It is in a super spot with lots of trees all around and many similar period houses in the immediate locality.

“Beautiful house, great location, lovely hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2011

My wife and I stayed in MMdM during easter break for 4 nights. Our hosts Emma and Philip were great. House is beautiful with its decoration, paintings. Room was very comfortable and nights were quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning with very good coffee. The house was very close to Platin Beach where we enjoyed the April sunshine. Emma was very helpful in recommending restaurants. They have the menus of all nearby restaurants so that you can decide where to dine before going out. We had excellent 4 days and were really sad when we had to go back to Brussels.

“First Rate - could not fault it in any way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2011

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Ma Maison de Mer with some family members and would not hesitate in recommending this as a very comfortable, peaceful and stylish place to stay in St Palais sur Mer. The house itself is calm, beautifully decorated in beach house style and has a lovely quiet garden for relaxing in with a cool drink after a busy day. The location is perfect - on a quiet street just minutes from the centre of St Palais. The rooms are lovely with excellent quality linens, towels and toiletries. Emma and Philip are perfect hosts - welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. All in all a great find and I have already booked my next visit.

“cyclists dream, with home comforts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2011

We arrived and were made to feel at home straight away, witha nice cup of tea! The room was spacious , bright and very clean, with amazing art work by Emma.
Its about a 5 min walk to the beach and Emma and Phil can give you plenty of cycle paths to follow, we cycled for miles and miles.
Every day at the bottom of the road there is a market, both food and other stuff, we bought a picnic and went off on our bikes the whole day. Cycling along the coast and into pine forests, where you can walk to the beach, and they are vast!!!
The really nice thing is they have a bar and we took a very nice G & T up with us whilst we showered, we were very spoilt.
Emma cooks 5 hights a week and the menus are amazing, she uses fresh produce from the market, and its just lovely chilling with a glass of Pineau and discussing with the other guests (from all over the world) where you have been and what else you have missed out on!
We enjoyed it so much that I have rebooked today for a week this time, as there is still so much to do!
Ps nice restaurant at the bottom of the road, run by Christine, Emma will know which one and book for you, its expensive but amazing!!!
