We didn't stay in the hotel, but visited the restaurant for an evening meal. Receptionist sat us at a table, we waited for about 20 minutes or so, but waiter didn't come over or offer drinks or anything, so we walked out, didn't fancy anything on the menu anyway, and went to the Poire Rouge just down the road instead, for very good service.

Don't bother with the Campanile Restaurant.

Having stayed four years ago at another Campanile (In Rouen), I decided to stop off at this one as it was on my trip home from the UK. When I booked online, the hotel stated clearly that it had wi-fi internet and a restaurant on site. This was essential to my trip.
When we arrived after a long tiring drive, we found the reception area was roped off and we had to enter the hotel via a mussy grass area and the back door into what is usually a meeting room. Reception was a table! I was advised that the restaurant and reception were closed for refurbishment. This was not pre-warned. So - no meal - luckily we had some food with us and had a picnic in the room. I didn't fancy driving around Rouen looking for a restaurant.
On taking the room, we found that the wi-fi would not work. I approached the young man on reception with my best French and asked why. He was confused and more interested in running off to the doorway to have a puff of his cigarette. Eventualy I got a shrug and an apology but no action.
So, no food, no wifi. The best bit was the bed. This was very good and one of the most comfortable I have ever used in a hotel.
The room was a bit tired and in need of refurbishment but the shower worked. I would have liked a bath but the plug was missing - very common these days - I must remember to pack one. So far so good.
In the morning I wanted another shower to freshen up but the hot water was only luke warm - so no morning shower and a luke warm shave. It seemed that the workmen refurbishing the hotel were staying upstairs and must have taken all the hot water before we got up.
Breakfast was in the temporary reception/eating area and the food was not too bad. Plenty of the usual buffet items. There was also cheese and ham, but no plates. Only a tray with a paper cover. Also, 9 euros for whet we had was a rip-off. I have had better for 4 euros.
I would say that the guests comfort was secondary to the hotels own corporate goals.
I would never ever use a Campanile again and would never reccommend them.

This is a badly run hotel, we ordered a handicap-room, at our arrival they said they could't find the key, could we settle for a normal room????? At the restaurant we ordered an omelet, they said we don't have any more eggs!!!!! How strange it can be???
The showercurtain smelled like sweat, there was only a very little roll of toiletpaper, we had to take a new roll from the restaurant after dinner! Mind you!
The bar that should hold the showerhead was absent and that for an invalid with only one hand to use!
In all this is a badly organised hotel.

A typical Campanile in the worst shape: old, smelly rooms and veeeeeeeerrrryyyyy slow internet. Too slow even to a simple browsing, so forget running a VPN or Skype session. I had breakfast, but didn't the restaurant for dinner, so I went to the Buffalo Grill across the street.
