Is this a hotel or a set from Life On Mars? Staying at La Vieille Auberge was a bit like returning to the 1970s - this is a hotel which would really benefit from some investment and updating. Having said that, the staff were nice and the room was very clean. There's no hotel parking but plenty of space on the streets around. If you can look past the brown velour curtains and the migraine-inducing patterned carpet, it's fine for a one night stopover. We didn't try dinner or breakfast.
Souillac is a lovely little town (there was a jazz festival going on while we were there) but next time we'll book earlier and try Le Pavillion St. Martin instead!
