Well, here the Retired Traveller came a little unstook so to speak. You see,we had been driving for some time and did not have immediate access to Trip Advisor, but DID have google search facilities from our car which gave this Hotel 4.5 out of 5. Well, due to the time we checked in and found all not up to our normal travelling experience. The Hotel Recepion Staff member was pleasant enough with the foyer area having WiFi and the Breakfast area looking smart. BUT, the Hotel room was not really the best of experiences. The previous occupant had clearly left their best foot odour behind and only a spell of open window and perfume spraying techniques adopted by the Retired Travellers better half semi saved the day. The 'ensuite area' is a plastic bubble affair. Be warned here, only old fashioned european travel adapters will work in this Hotel, modern ones do not fit, honestly, a trauma when one wants a hair dryer..... The sockets are a ' little wobbly' in the walls so don't be too adventurous when inserting adapters. The rooms are VERY BASIC. When we did move on the next day, we noted that for another 10 to 15 minutes driving you can get to the other side of Tours where a larger selection of Hotels are available. So to sum up, use in case of emergency, park in the shops next door's car park, have room freshener handy for those unexpected feet and if you are over 5'10", move on as you won't get in the 'En Suite', or if you do, you will need to be squeezed out. The Retired Travellers better half thought it had been a 'hollywood experience' When asked what she meant, she just said " The Bates Motel, a night with Norman"
