“Good breakfast, friendly staff but terrible room”

This was a hotel we stopped at on our way down to Barcelona. It was very difficult to find and is set in what can only be described as an industrial estate.
When we checked in the receptionist was very friendly and told us of the free wifi...not really free, only 20 min is free then you have to pay, fine...can't complain as the hotel is cheap
The room itself was not nice. It was tiny, dull and everything plastic and cheap. The view was of a roof with generators on. TV had BBC news. The bathroom was a tiny pod with a shower that trickled water only. But again, it was cheap.
We read that there was a bar, but they only served 1 type of bottled beer or a few soft drinks. No wine, no lemonade,etc.
Breakfast was very nice - nice fresh bread, cheeses and juice.

Overall it was fine for stopover but I have experienced better.

“Clean, Basic, long way from town”

The rooms are small but clean. We initially had a problem in that our bathroom light did not work, this was not fixed from our initial reporting in the morning to our return in the evening, but the staff moved us to another room. I use the word bathroom very loosely however. If you imagine a normal sized room and add inside that room a raised plastic covered platform containing a toilet, sink and shower then that is your bathroom, self contained of course. It is like - if you pardon the expression - going to the bathroom in the same room as someone else - the accoustics make for a loud visit.

Excellent cold buffet breakfast with a huge selection available.

The only fault with the hotel is the location, in that it takes 30 mins by bus to go to the town. However buses are fairly frequent, but not late at night. Taxi into town costs between 25 - 30 euro depending on the route they take !

The bar in the hotel is small but functional. Staff were friendly.
