This review is for the SPA and customer service SPA & HOTEL

My wife, sister and law and I had an appointment for a massage at their facility given to us as a gift by my in laws.

All three of us were very disappointed with our massage treatment.

Not to sound pompous but we've traveled around the world utilizing different spas and various treatments.

The treatment we received is far from any massage we've ever received.

Per their brochure, the description of the massage "Indoceane" is mixing several techniques and is described as dynamic with pressure from their staff

What was received didn't transpire at any point during the session:
- Three times in my session today, I requested for my masseuse to put more pressure. My husband and sister in law told me they had the same situation.
- In addition, there was no technique from any of our masseuse, the oil was glided over our bodies and the hands were also glided over our body
- Any good spa will ask questions about pressure and how you feel. My husband asked to add more pressure several times
- In any good spa the person massaging is asking where the focus should be during the beginning of a session or injuries. This was not asked in any of our treatments and when verbally asked (focus) nothing was emphasized.

My husband and sister in law are French and speak French, therefore, communication is not an issue

In summary all three of us received no pressure on the feet, the hands, the back, the shoulder when specifically asked for.
The techniques advertise in the brochure were not applied (at least for us) and didn't meet the level of a professional massage

This was a gift and we are not satisfied with the services we received.

When we spoke with the front desk she mentioned she understood our situation but didn't have the power to rectify our situation and told us to contact the management

The response from the manager (SPA and also Best Western Hotel Caliceo):
"Thank you for your feedback"
They put the blame exclusively to Thalgo who they told us "is defining the massage"
They didn't even question the fact that the massage happened in their facility by their staff.
