“Comfortable for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Double bed was two singles pushed together which was OK as I was travelling alone. Room heater didn't work but decent fan heater in bathroom provided sufficient heat for room. Fairly basic furniture but no shower curtain (or fittings for one) so shower water went everywhere! WiFi was OK for checking emails etc but pretty slow. Breakfast was simple and sufficient for a one night stay. Would book elsewhere if stay is longer than a night or two.

“OK and really close to airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2011

This was a last minute decision because our hotel fell through. We wanted something not too expensive and close to the airport. Price was good, room was huge and clean. We found the service to be disorganized. When we arrived, there was only 1 bath towel, 1 glass. We wanted to phone down to reception to get the number we needed but the phone wasn't working. So my husband went down and told them and they said they would unblock the phone. When we tried to phone for a pizza, it still wasn't working so my husband went back down to the reception. He was so fed up, he told them to make the call. (My husband is French and so had no problem communicating. Not sure how it would have been if we didn't speak French.) Had a bit of problem with the Internet (you have to pay and the code they gave us didn't work. so we had to go back down to the reception for that also!) Once they gave us the right code it worked well.

“Having a room with heat in the winter should not be so difficult”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

1. The first night I arrived, I woke up freezing in the middle of the night because the heat was not working in the room (room A). The temperature outside was below freezing.
2. I asked the next morning if they could please fix it or move me to another room, and fix the mini-fridge because that was not working. I was told this would happen.
3. I arrived that evening, after dinner, only to find that the heat had not been fixed. They moved me to a room that the bathroom was under construction (room B), it smelled of mildew and I soon realized why- there was no shower curtain or way to block the water from exiting the shower, so it just went all over the countertop and the floor. There was plywood covering the back of the sink. Luckily the heat did work.
4. That second morning, I was told that they would get the heat fixed and move me from the 'under construction' room to the room I was previously in. When I arrived back that evening, I was told that the heat was fixed and given the key to the room I was in previously (Room A). There was already someone else in the room. They had given me a working key to a room they had put someone else in- not very secure or competent in my opinion.
5. They then moved me to another room (room C), where the heat also did not work. The lady from the front desk couldn’t get it to work either.
6. Then they moved me to another room where it did actually work (room D). The guy at the desk did apologize, but then told me that if there is one problem with a guest, they always have multiple problems with the same guest. In effect, telling me that this must be my fault, not the fault of the hotel.
7. This was a downgrade from my original room, and not the same room type the rate was for. It had no kitchenette- only a fridge.
8. I realized the next morning that the security box wasn’t working in the latest room. If they are going to just give keys to occupied rooms to other people, then I think it is important to lock up anything that is at all valuable. They did actually fix the security box that day.
9. Two people at the front desk have refused to write down my Choice “privileges” member reward number, being very condescending and telling me that it must be my password or online login but it is not the correct number. After calling the Choice hotels member line, I know this is a valid member number, but they still refused to take it. As for sending their HQ a comment, as it has to be done online, there is not enough room in their online comments form to enter this saga, so TripAdvisor it is.....

“very satisfied”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

Unexpected stay in Bordeaux and the business partners booked me in this hotel which I had never heard about.

Very satisfied about room, service , facilities.

I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers with a need to sleep over close to the airport.

Only drawback: restaurant closes at 22.00

“Convenient, comfy hotel by the airport if you need to fly out early the next day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2010

A co-worker and I stayed one night in this hotel on the Sunday night since we had an early flight out to Geneva where we had to go straight to work. We flew in on the Friday and stayed at Adagio in Gambetta and then hired a car and drove to Chateau Beau Jardin (see separate reviews for each of these hotels). Quality Suites was convenient and comfortable and we paid only 92 euros for the night. We had two single beds, and a small kitchenette. The room was quite large and was air conditioned. I wouldn't recommend this place if you wanted to see Bordeaux (town) but it is very convenient if you need to fly out early the next morning. The bar man also kindly gave us 2 glasses so that we could drink our last bottle of rose.
