We booked a family room for 2 nights after reading the great reviews here on trip advisor and for its superb location as we were visiting friends in Oxford and wanted to go shopping at Bicester Village.
Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who made a fuss of the children and didnt rush into getting unloaded, we had a nice drink in the bar and were assisted in offloading our (many!) bags into the room.
The room itself was spotless, modern and in very good condition and we couldnt fault it.
We ate in the restaurant that evening and again could not fault either the food or service, they even managed to cater for 2 rather fussy (tired out) children who they again made a real fuss of and went out of their way to keep happy .
In all we wont think twice about returning to the Dashwood next time we are in the area , its a little gem tucked away for those lucky enough to find it .

My wife and I called in for lunch today, merely as a passing customer. We were made very welcome by all the staff, who were very accommodating. We both had a two course lunch with wine and I have to say it was the best sunday lunch we have both had for many years. We will return in the not too distant future and will be recommending or taking our friends there.

Having just arrived home from a wonderful "driving by - spur of the moment" Sunday lunch I can honestly say my husband and I have just had one of the most delicious meals ever. Our first visit to The Dashwood, we will definitely return another day. Admittedly, the meal was a little slow coming but well worth the wait. Well done The Dashwood. We will be recommending you to our friends.

It was our first time visiting this quaint little village. We came across this lovely hotel/restaurant in search of an hearty english dinner. We were greeted warmly by the staff, who were all incredibly helpful throughout the evening. A satisfying meal was had by all. After dinner, we had coffee's a great conversation with managemnet in the bar area. The venue was beautifully maintained & well managed. Needless to say we had dinner the next night and the Dashwood will definately be out first hotel choice when we visit again.
