The photo associated with this hotel is not correct. This is the Motel 6, not Super 8. But back to the Motel 6. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most noisy, this place rates a 10. It is bordered on 2 sides by truck stops and a couple of gas stations, a Denny's and Taco Bell-all ringed with alleys and side roads that run just feet in front of the Motel 6 rooms. The other sides have the freeway. It's a nightmare. The people at the desk are very nice, but they couldn't make up for the noise. I tried earplugs and a glass of wine. Didn't work. I packed up and went to the Holiday Inn Express across the road. It's not that much more expensive. So far it seems fine.

Pulled into this Motel 6 expecting a passable room at a fair price. Probably got the best room in the complex for noise: protected from both the highway and the truck stop next door. However, there was a stench to the room. When we first got in the room, it was a whiff and it seemed to fade. So, we didn't change rooms. Bad call. We figured out the source of the stench after we got in bed....the sheets. Best guess is people had been smoking packs of menthols around these sheets 24/7. Wife and I woke up after about 4.5 hours and just decided to pack up and keep moving on our road trip....at 4:30 am! In addition, the sheets and mattress were both awful.

Basically the place is not absolutely terrible, but I would spring an extra 20 to go to the Holiday Inn Express instead if its an option.

This Comfort Inn Santa Nella was a convenient stop for us along the I-5 between Northern and Southern California. We were towing a boat trailer, and the hotel offers easy parking for trailers and large vehicles. It has been newly renovated and the rooms are as clean and comfortable as you would expect in a Comfort Inn. The free breakfast was exceptional. It included two kinds of eggs, boiled and scrambled, and the scrambled were the real thing like you would do at home, fluffy and not just stirred around on a greasy grill like most restaurants do. There were sausages, bagels, muffins, hot and cold cereals, make-your-own-waffles, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and more. What a treat! This is a hotel we look forward to going back to.
