Last year we celebrated our wedding by holding our Wedding reception at The Mill. From start to finish the experience was outstanding and I cant believe I am only now getting around to completing a review. The staff made to process of booking and organising the reception a real pleasure and on the day of the wedding both myself, my new bride, family and friends were treated like royalty. The food was outstanding, the room looked amazing and the overnight accomodation was perfect both in respect to the bridal suite and the rooms stayed in by family and wedding party. There was nothing ever too much for the staff and everyone made sure that the reception was enjoyed by all and that everything that was needed was provided. James, the deputy manager and Lisa on reception were particulary fantastic and worked above and beyond for our special day. We have since held family milestone birthdays at The Mill and received the same high level of service. This is a real gem, perfect for a relaxing country weekend away or a very special event.

we were on a 2 night break at this hotel, we had stayed once before to visit ironbridge and museums. we found the staff to be very friendly nothing too much trouble. very clean, food was varied and excellent, lovely countryside around hotel, would definattley stay again. found that drinks were rather expensive but took our own to have before dinner. would recommend this hotel for its staff and food.

This was our second visit to this excellent hotel within six months and we are pleased to say that it was as excellent as our first visit
Food ,staff, and accomodation was first class
We had dinner every night and the menu was varied Food was cooked and served superbly.
The dessert trolley is unusual today but very hard to resist when you are presented with the choice of tantilising sweets
The round journey of 400 miles is well rewarded
Since retirement we have visited and stayed at 51 hotels in the UK in 14 years ,this is the only one we have visited twice. That how good it is

Although we have eaten in this hotel before, and also been to a wedding reception here, we had never stayed. We booked a short-break package (two nights) which was good value and included 3-course table d'hote meal.

Rooms -- Very large room (suite) which was tastefully decorated and clean. The only slight drawbacks were that the four-poster bed was quite small and we struggled to get a comfortable nights sleep. Also, the bathroom was in need of an update. A few of the fixtures & fittings didn't work properley (leaky plug-holes for example) but all were fairly minor.....

Location -- A very rural area -- beautiful setting and we had a lovely view of the lake from our room.

Restaurant -- Food was as good as previous visits (Top class). The table d'hote menu was so good that we stuck with it even after looking at the A La Carte menu! Only one change since our last restaurant visit -- the A La Carte menu has shrunk in size quite considerably - after querying this we were told it was due to lack of demand.... What a shame!

Overall -- Very pleasant stay in a lovely location. The niggles above are only minor and we are a little fussy!!! Would definitely return. Looking forward to the proposed spa - the plans in the reception look superb.
