I previously visited early in 2011 with my wife and son along with a client and his wife and son.
We had a few 'issues' with the evening meal being slow and not the best quality, this was rather embarrassing for me as I was trying to impress! We did have a round of golf that was great on a nice course that was not too busy.
Rather than 'slaughter' the hotel on this site I contacted the manager direct.
Shaun Van Looy was very helpful and responded immediately. He gave a clear explanation and promised to make changes as well as offering another stay at a reduced price.
I have been in communication with him throughout 2011 and decided to stay in late January 2012, I sent an email to Mr Van Looy not realising he was on holiday and he still replied what great service!
My wife and I visited alone for two nights for a discounted price and had a fabulous time. We were welcomed by reception and placed in the Fairway room, this was a lovely room at the back of the hotel that was a perfect size.
We had a great meal along with a complimentary bottle of wine, in fact my wife said it was one of the best meals she had ever had!
We had a swim and sauna which was also very nicde. Oh and the buffet breakfast is fantastic!
I would highly recommend the Menzies Cambridge to anyone that is looking for a relaxing break and the manager showed that he really cares. Thank you Shaun and your team for making the difference 2nd time around, a great improvement. Dave Sales

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to make amends for last years not so great meal, pleased you enjoyed your visit and I'm sure you will be visiting again.
