“A nice experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

This is really a hidden treasure just beneath the big medieval church. The rooms are all of them different and the hotel consists of several separate buildings. This is not a "fancy" place but very nice and comfortable. When the weather is OK you can just sit in one of their two gardens, drinking free coffee ot tea or have your brekfast. The staff are all of them very helpful. They don't serve any other meals than brekafast but it's not far from the restaurants. Highly recommendable!

“Our room was delightful and the staff was friendly and helpful.”

The Hotel St. Clemens was historic, charming, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They made efforts to accommodate our early departure by packing us a picnic breakfast. We would difinitely stay there again.

“Warm welcome to a cosy and sympathetic environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

Hotel St. Clemens fulfilled our expectations and beyond it. The staff was helpful and so friendly and polite. The medieval environment gives something extra to your stay, especially breakfast outside in the garden - that only is a reason to come back sometime. The room was tidy and clean, with interiors fitting to the environment. The lack of air-conditioning was the only downside, though I think one cannot expect that either if he chooses a hotel built in a medieval house. There are some stairs, which can be a little tricky when travelling with small children - a problem which was highly compensated by the helpful staff.

I definitely recommend!

“Cosy hotel at the heart of the Visby”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

We spent two nights at Visby and liked the hotel a lot. Hotel ain't luxurious with overwhelming breakfast, but small, relaxed, cosy and welcoming. Two minutes walk to market square, main church and to the wall, so the location is good. If you travel by car, reserve a parking place from the hotel in advance.

“A charming and friendly hotel”

A truly charming gem of a hotel within the walls of Wisby with a perfect location right next to a beautiful church ruin. We stayed for 4 days in one of the antique beautifully and carefully restored houses connected by two idyllic gardens and loved every minute. The parking and delicious breakfast buffet were extra bonuses. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. It's not an international 5 star hotel, but perfect if you want to experience a truly wonderful Gotland. We recommend it highly and would love to go back.
