Visited Villa Borgen in october 2003, low-tourist season.

From Adelsgatan, Villa Borgen seems to be just a small house with a miniature restaurant. But once you step inside the hotel door, you find a small but amazingly beautiful garden and several smaller buildings. There are most likely not two rooms that look the same, and some rooms are amazingly sweet.

I spent two nights at this hotel, and living in the middle of the city of Visby in such a beautiful and comfortable hotel as Villa Borgen was a very pleasant experience. A good advice is to rent a mountainbike from the hotel and bike your way through the many beautiful sights of Visby!

If I ever go back to Visby, I will be sure to go back to Villa Borgen as well.

Rating: 4 out of 5 points from my point of view. Don't expect any special luxury or overwhelming service, the historic enviroment is what really makes this hotel above average.
