This hotel has been expanding so I cannot tell about the other rooms, but our room was small with minimum facilities. It does not have air conditioning though it costed us $350 a night. It is located at the sea level, that means you can reach it without climbing the hill from a boat but you have to climb up the hill for anything you need.

Overall, what an overpriced disappointment. Let me start with the pros: large room, good closet space, green environment. Cons: NO amenities whatsoever -- only soap was in a squeeze bottle by the sink and in the shower, front desk staff was not friendly or welcoming and some were not knowledgeable, not enough seating in the breakfast area, noisy noisy noisy at night, and EXPENSIVE. I've been to several Best Westerns around the world and this was a bummer.

I really liked this hotel, the location is great and the room was big and clean.
Only negatives were that the breakfast was very busy and that the room window was not keeping out noice (from wind, no traffic).
Would go here again next time in Visby.

Finding the way to my room was a bit of a challenge, as getting there involved various corridors, stairs and the lift. Well, it is an old building, so it's only natural that the layout is not going to be like that of a modern hotel. ;)
The location is very good, the room was nice enough (I imagine the rooms on the top floor may get a bit hot in the summer though) and the hotel breakfast was perfectly adequate. Would stay there again.
