My husband and I stayed for 5 nights over Xmas while spending time with family. Our only disappointment that with all the family committments we would have liked to spend more time at the hotel! The price is so reasonable that we couldn't believe the quality of the service and rooms. There was a hibiscus oil diffuser in the room, which some might like, but it wasn't my preference. I asked if they could remove it while servicing the room but it was gone by the time we returned from breakfast 30 mins later! Breakfast (included in the rate) was a very extensive and delicious buffet. We ate dinner one night and although service was slow (short staffed) they apologised so graciously we didn't really mind, especially as the meal was so delicious. Overall, no complaints and we'll be back every time we visit family in Melbourne!

Write from booking the place over the phone to front desk service at check, the service was excellent. Felt very welcomed by the friendly staff (especially the manager). Great breakfast and friendly staff ready to help with not just the food but other queries.

We booked the Sebel Heritage on the internet and got a great rate for our one bed spa room - and it was enormous!! The cleaning staff were very accomodating, the checkin/out was very professional and easy. After arriving in Melbourne post Xmas, we spent 5 days in St Kilda shopping, sightseeing and trying out the restaurants, so the remaining 4 days of our trip spent in the Yarra Valley was a very welcome relief (more so for us, than our teenagers). Speaking of which they loved the pool and the cafe, tennis courts, and the movies available in the room. The wineries are so closeby, and shops less than 5 mins drive. Sebel Heritage is a lovely place to stay, everything is spotlessly clean - even the gardens and common areas. It's a bit of a hike from here in Perth, but I would definitely stay again if Im over that way. PS: Crantston55 - shame we didnt catch up - obviously we were all watching the cricket!!
