Biggest kip I've ever stayed in but the location was brill no need to get taxis right beside the nightlife

we were a group of girls just having a night out together, so booked the cheapest hotel, so we would have been happy with just somewhere to sleep, but this was ridiculous!!
When we arrived we were greted by the strangest, rudest receptionist ever. He let out a big sigh when we asked to check in, then slumped back in his chair, to flick through a book. Eventually he told us he had no record of our booking, so we couldnt stay.When we pointed out that we booked online and so had already apid a deposit he asked "so what do you want me to do about it, take the money out of my own pocket and give it to you?" i am not kidding!!

at this point two people returned from their room to complain lots, and eventually left, so the receptionist stood up and left, without a word, and went upstairs. just as we were considering leaving, he came back and said he had one room afterall, but we would all have to share, it had 3 beds. (for 6 people) we decided to take it, as heading home at this point was not an option, and to be fair, it was going to make the night a lot cheaper for us.

everything everyone else says from this point applies here, the place was a dump, no hot water, so no showers, no lift, no entrance to nightclub - we couldnt even have breakfast there, although that might have been the safest option anyway. no hotel is cheap enough for this - a tent by the fountain might have been more welcoming!

This has got to be the worst run Hotel I have ever stayed in.

The staff are unprofessional, their claims about refurbishment are rubbish, rooms are small dirty and pokey, I personally did not feel safe staying there, my advise is to book the Talbot don’t even think about staying here, only wish I read the comments on Trip advisor before I booked.

From the minute i stepped inside i knew i should have walked back out the door,but i didnt! BIG MISTAKE. From the dodgy lift to the dirty carpets,this place is a dump.The room was freezing,floor was dirty,as were the beside lockers,bathroom,towels..the list goes on.As it was agirls night out,i decided to ignore the fact that it was a tip,and have a good time.When it came to getting some sleep,the nightmare continued.It was so cold,my friend and i had to push our beds together and share blankets,then as i was falling asleep i heard the music pumping from downstairs,it may aswell have been in the room,it was so loud and it continued until 8.45am.Lets just say we were glad to be going home.Please take my advice..do not go near this hotel,it is a complete dump!
