We stayed here on Jan 20th & 21st 2012. We have stayed before and the staff just make it so nice for you. Everyone from the reception, bar and lesiure centre were all lovely and friendly and helpful. The hotel is only a short walk to the town and a lovely park and playground for the kids. The food in the bar was excellent and priced fair. Good choice and a good child menu too. Our 3 year old had salmon and pasta for €6! Breakfast was good and plenty! Our second morning for breakfast was very busy, but the staff put on extra tables and the manager even helped out with the food so nobody was left waiting at all! Rooms are comfortable and linen all snow white and soft. The swimming pool was lovely. It wasn't busy and the changing rooms were nice and warm. Just one fault in this hotel is- even though the bar is cosy and the staff are excellent it's lacking entertainment on weekend nights. Some music would be nice.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way also the food was excellent.
The rooms were very comfortable and spaceous and clean.
We will stay at your hotel again and all 19of our group could not fault it.
If you are in the carlow area this is the hotel we would recommend for value and comfort plus great food.

I have stayed many times in this hotel. The bar food is at best just OK. The rooms are large but are in need of refurbishment. Live football is available on screens in the bar but not in your bedrooms. The pool facilities are good for a town centre hotel. The hotel is popular with locals and is always busy which generates a good atmosphere.

Have stayed in the Seven Oaks twice in the last month and on both occasions was blown away by the customer service and genernal niceness of staff. The management of this hotel must be good as individual staff members were all helpful in a very genuine manner, my perception was that they were a happy bunch!

The food was pretty good, we ate in the bar area and the portions were both good and tasty, In particular the kids roast of the day was excellent value at less than 6euro. Breakfast was a mix of self service continental and a hot buffet - if I had any request it would be for transparent lids on the hot buffet so people are aware of what is there when they request breakfast items! Having said that the guy serving the buffet must have thought I needed more food and started suggesting items I might like to add in!

The pool area was clean and pretty nice and again staff were very helpful. Bedrooms were excellent, lots of space and when I booked a triple and single room the triple had a double and two singles and the single had a double and a single!!
