Despite only one mirror between four, we managed to have a lovely stay at the central residence. The food was dull, only just edible and the chocolate mouse was by far a bonus. The amazing location and mountain views gave the hotel some life. Overall not too shabby, might go again. :)

Having just returned from Switzerland I would like to say that this Hotel is far better than some of these reviews give it credit for. We were with a large group and found checking in very quick and easy - the reception workers were very good English speakers. Our room was on the 4th floor - lovely & clean with an amazing view of the snow capped mountains. The beds were comfy and had heavy curtains so you could sleep well which was easy to do as it was so quiet. The room did get quite warm in the night as there was a heatwave on at the time in sept but there was a small window we could use or just open up the balcony door.
Breakfast was a very good choice of what you would expect with no limit on how much you had. The Dinner menu differed every night and had alot of good choice from kebabs to buttered noodles. We used the bar but be prepared to wait to be served as the bar staff are the ones who also run the reception desk!
We didn't use the pool or Jacuzzi as they looked busy every night which I guess must mean they are worth using.
Overall I would say this hotel in Leysin is well worth a visit and the location is ideal for those who want abit of peace on their holiday!

I spent several days in this hotel, and even if the way up the hill is rather complicated, the final view is beautiful. The rooms are clean and nice and mainly the restaurant is excellent - the manager of the restaurant was one of the best I have ever met. I recommend this hotel for mountain trips, and I also liked that there is a very nice swimming pool in this hotel.

I'm doing a road trip from Egypt to England with my family and have booked numerous hotels through tripadvisor but this is by far the worst choice we made. As I type this review our floor is being bombarded with teenagers running amok at 1130pm as apparently this hotel turns into a summer camp at this time of year. This little detail is not mentioned anywhere in their hotel review! Thankfully we have only booked in for 2 nights. If it had been any longer I would have changed hotels. Although the room is spacious for our family of 4 and the view is outstanding and there is free but irregular wi-fi there isn't much else I can say that is nice about this hotel. It apparently has been renovated recently but the bathroom looks rusty already. Our room smelt of wet dog everytime we came back in and had to open the balcony door to let the fresh air in. We didn't book ourselves in for the breakfast and am so pleased we didn't as the food was limited to boiled eggs, cheese, ham, yoghurt, and a selection of breads. We never bothered to check out the dinner, choosing instead to venture into town. The staff were friendly but way overstretched as there seemed to be a lack of any control of the kids running around in the lobby area and playing in the stairwells and lifts. I won't even begin to mention the health and safety issues! Leysin is a beautiful place and we would come back again to explore the treks more, but definately not in this hotel.
