Overall I enjoyed my stay. Food was excellent, nice big room although in basement which was a shame as although we had a nice view everyone walking by could look in. Having skied for 25 yrs and done 2 winters I don't normally bother with ski lessons but as I'd paid in my package we struck gold with silvio and skied amazing powder all week on an almost empty mountain. Atmosphere is nice although sometimes felt as a non-french person I was just filling the empty rooms and a bit of an afterthought.
Now for downside.....
Petit club for 2 year olds was terrible. The 15 or so 2 year olds were multi national but the staff only really spoke French. My daughter - goes to nursery at home - hated it. In fact I had no idea what was going on there because I couldn't communicate easily with the staff. One poor German girl had no hope as no one seemed to spk German. A Spanish lady we met fluent in French was translating for other Spanish mums. What was worse they didn't seem to do much. There was not the usual array of paintings and pictures and they were never taken outside. Will be seeking some recompense from club med!
It's lovely that it's a free for all with kids for dinner but starting a little earlier would have been nice and because there was over 100 under 5s there during the week we stayed people starting hiding booster seats as nowhere near enough to go around. Also too many pointless cocktail evenings!!
