I went with my family on holiday to Club Med Villars Palace for christmas and new year. The stay was amazing, the hotel was located in an wonderfull village, the ski train which you need to take to go up in the mountains was in front, the rooms had an spectaculair vieuw over the village. The food was good, escpecially the presentation of the food. The ambiance which was made in the lobby before dinner was everyday more spectaculair than the day before the 'designgers' were very creative. Baby club, Petit club and Medi club were the most special things on this holiday for us because we brought are children at 8.30 and picked them up at 17.00 and we were not worry about them because we knew that the GO's were amazing with them. For that my special thank you is going for the GO's: Ben Smith and Magali Paulus. The entertainmet was also hilarious and special at the theather and after at the bar. In the bar you could dance with the GO's and have wonderfull coctails made by the bartenders. For an amazing coctail and advice or other suggestion you need to find the bar manager Remy Schweizer, he was a wonderfull helper who did amazing things like getting us are own private table at new year and ofcourse tell his stuff how to make wonderfull coctails which were not on the list. A good bartender was Cynthia, a very nice lovely girl. I would like to thanks all the GO's for my amazing stay, a stay which i would never forget, and especially: ASST RSP BAR MANAGER REMY SCHWEIZER, MAGALI PAULUS, BEN SMITH and BARTENDER CYNTHIA. And to not forget an excellent skiteacher FRED DUPONT.

We just spent a week at the Club med Villars sur ollon.
Snow was great and overall experience was good but and not really much better.
Main reason for some disappointment was clearly the fact that the hotel staff was not ready to accommodate none french speaking people - it goes all the way down from the chef de-village to the last GO. We found it very surprising and annoying as not all of us speaks french and it is the first time it happens to us in Club med. Even the ski instructors barely spoke english and groups were not always functional due to that (spenfing a hole day on the mountain while your groups speaks in french and you are quite...)
Hotel itself is fine for family and babies, Food was OK (Lack of special taste)
Rooms were not quite and you could here everything happen in the corridors outside your room and above you
Overall we had a good vacation but we will probably not visit again this place

We had a nice week at Villars despite almost no snow until we left. Service and food were definitely up to 4-trident Club standards and the activities proposed as well as the quality of rental equipment was great. However, it puts a huge dent in the wallet particularly for the room we got (ground-floor no view). For about 40% less it would have been ideal.

This was the worst club med vacation we've ever had. The food was atrocious, the club super dirty (with gastros circulating even in July), and a tiny pool that was exterior (fabulous for the horrible weather we had). Had to pay for an uncovered parking. Kids hated the mini club. The theater for the shows was all on 1 level so you better get there early to be able to see anything. Restaurant for dinner was open 1.5 hrs!!! I used the spa twice and was disappointed both times. For the outrageous prices they were charging, I expected MUCH better.

Only good part was the hiking - the guides were very nice & knew their stuff.
